Amano Shrimp, known as Caridina multidentata, are known for their algae eating capabilities. They don't discriminate on algae or leftover foods. The enjoy eating algae wafers, flaked food, snowflake pellets, bee pollen. They are peaceful shrimp originating from Japan. They get their name from the man who originally introduced them into the hobby, Takashi Amano. They can be kept with a wide variety of fish. We receive and sell them from sizes ranging from .5 inches to 1 inch in size. They can grow to be at least 3 inches in sizes, and their coloration will slightly darken to a very light brown color.
