The Super Red Bristlenose Pleco (Ancistrus sp.) is a popular, selectively bred, small-sized aquarium catfish known for its vibrant orange-red color, reaching only 4–6 inches in length. They are peaceful, hardy, and excellent algae eaters, ideal for planted tanks 30+ 
Key Characteristics & Care
  • Appearance: Bright red-orange coloration that intensifies with age. Males develop more pronounced tentacles ("bristles") on their nose, while females have fewer or none.
  • Size & Lifespan: They grow to 4–6 inches (10–15 cm) and typically live for 5–10 years.
  • Temperament: Generally peaceful, but males can be territorial with each other.

    • Tank Size: 30–40 gallons minimum.
