The Albino L165 Sailfin Pleco (Pterygoplichthys gibbiceps) is a large, hardy suckermouth catfish prized for its striking pale cream to golden coloration, red eyes, and massive, sail-like dorsal fin. 
Key Characteristics
  • Size: Reaches an impressive 19–24 inches (50 cm) in length.
  • Lifespan: Can live 10 to 15+ years, with some reports extending to 25–35 years in ideal conditions.
  • Appearance: Distinguished from common plecos by its oversized dorsal fin (often with 10+ rays) and light "reticulated" pattern over a pinkish-yellow body.
  • Behavior: Generally peaceful but can become territorial with other plecos as it matures. 
Care & Tank Setup
  • Tank Size: Requires a minimum of 75–125 gallons to accommodate its adult size and waste production.
